The Rest Is Silence

The Rest is Silence - extra performance announced

Extra performance just announced – 1pm, Saturday 8 August.

Saturday 8 August, 2015 at the Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria
The three performances commencing at 2, 3, and 4pm have already sold out.

The public will get a sneak peek into the real world of CSI and Silent Witness, in the homicide room – normally reserved for police and scientists – in which the Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria, operating within The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, will stage a theatrical performance which highlights the issue of tissue donation.

As one of this year’s DonateLife Week events, forensic staff, including a forensic pathologist, a forensic technician, a tissue donation nurse specialist and tissue bank scientist, will discuss a fictitious case which illustrates the sense of urgency yet sensitivity required when someone dies suddenly and the family is asked to make vital decisions about donating their loved one’s tissue.

Four performances of The Rest Is Silence will be held on Saturday August 8th at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at the Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria, 65 Kavanagh St, Southbank (our location). Performances run for approximately 30 minutes followed by questions and answers.

Performances are free but audiences are strictly limited and bookings are essential via Eventbrite or phone 03 9684 4444.
